Our Values

Every child, regardless of their disability (neuro or physical), race, ethnicity, gender, economic status, has the right and responsibilities to full potential in our society, the right to be treated with compassion, respect and dignity, free from stigma and prejudice. We believe that overall health of mind and body is essential for personal well-being, and is fundamental to achieving a healthy, balanced and productive life. Unless we promote community understanding of neuro or physical illness at an early age, plus tolerance and acceptance of children living with this illness, people will continue to avoid talking and avoid seeking help which only makes the child and his family is the ultimate sufferer.

ABOUT US

Progressive Child Development Centre provides best child physiotherapy, supports disabled children aged 0–21years with cerebral palsy, developmental delay, coordination disorders, and other non-progressive neurological disorders and syndromes.

Our approach is to provide a fun, child-friendly ‘home from home’ environment combining specialist equipment and therapeutic exercises.

We provide unique and intensive physiotherapy programs incorporating a series of therapy that support the child in any position while the physiotherapist carries out exercises to help develop and build the child’s muscles.

Mission

Our mission is to provide excellent medical care with the best and most comprehensive pediatric care possible from birth until 21 years of age. Our practice will be a dedicated service for differently-abled children which includes any type of physical or neuro disorder. We strive to be an efficient and cost-effective practice in meeting the needs of children for their overall development and to work with the community to improve the lives of such children.

HOW WE HELP

Our physiotherapists, specialized equipment and intensive physiotherapy programmes help improve strength and mobility for children with special needs. What We Do

Our physiotherapy programmes are tailored specifically for each child and include:

  • Postural management - a planned approach encompassing all activities and interventions which impact on a child’s posture and function

  • Gait assessment - assess and examine the gait of the child to build a programme of exercises to improve walking patterns

  • Kinesiology taping - joint correction and postural alignment
Maintain and improve posture and movement
    Improve balance and coordination
Maintain range of movement of joints to help prevent rigidity

  • Provide advice on specialist equipment - advise on the most appropriate equipment for the child’s development

  • Introduce proper movement patterns - repetitive exercises
